I've found a pretty cool show that some of you may not know about. It's called "If Walls Could Talk" . We have Time Warner cable so it comes on about 8:30 am on HGTV channel 48 every day I believe. It has stories about old, old homes where awsome things are found in attics, basements, yards etc. It gives a lot of history about some homes and so on. I TiVo all the shows. Some great stories & it gives you good ideas of where to look for things, should you ever get to search a home! Check it out, it's a great winter thing to do since we can't do any hunting.

I hunted part of the yard for a short time about 10 years ago with an XLT. Yesterday I hunted the side yard. Ground was perfect and the soil was as dark as it gets as far down as you could dig. I managed 3 deep indians, 1976, 1887, & 1893. I also got a 1920 buffalo and some odds n ends, victorian jewelry. My sons preschool has very little grass but the main building dates to 1897. A few months back they had to put in a short sidewalk for ADA compliance. When they did, they took the layers of grass off about two feet out on both sides of the sidewalk and took down a 100 + year old tree as well. I took the EX II with the 8 x 6 SEF coil, fired it up and the very first target I got showed silver about 2-3 inches down. It took at least 10 minutes to chip out the dirt as the ground was frozen solid. Imagine my surprise when I saw this baby at the bottom of the hole! Wish every hunt was like this :)
