Euro Hawk maiden flight (no replies)

Maiden flight of the first Euro Hawk. This is basically one of Block 20 Global Hawks, with additional antennas located in pods on the wings. This bird will be flown to Germany early next year for two years of testing, following by 4-8 additional birds after that. It flew from our plant at Palmdale to Edwards AFB, only about 30 miles as the crow flies, but it flew for approximately 90 minutes, to check out basic first flight maneuvers. Very few anomalies to work on and it will begin a rigorous testing program at Edwards, beginning next week. Keep in mind that there is no human intervention on this flight, it's all pre-programmed on the mission planning software. The "pilots" in the LRE or MCE (Launch and Recovery Element, or Mission Control Element) can select other way points (Locations) on a flight overview screen and have the bird go to alternate locations. As an example, let's say that the original mission plan called for the bird to fly a figure 8 course around Edwards, but there was a fire near Three Rivers and they want images to assist the firefighters....the pilots could direct the bird to change course and head for the Three Rivers area. The bird flies at ~60,000 feet, and it's sophisticated sensors can see through clouds, smoke, dust storms and of course nighttime darkness. The IR sensor package (Infrared) can pick up a single human from that altitude! Check out the wing deflection when landing. Within the bulbous nose are a radar dish on the upper level, and the sensor "camera" suite underneath. When it lands notice how smooth the landing is.....the GPS system on the bird monitors it's location within a 4" radius!

This video was officially released for public consumption!

http://www.northropgrumman.com/videos/assets/EH_First_Flight_WMV9_Widescreen_640x360.wmv

Financial Wizardry (no replies)

==========GREAT EXAMPLE OF Obama's SKILL....

It seems like a miracle that our beloved leader was able to convince BP to establish a $20 billion slush (oops, escrow) fund to compensate those hurt by the ongoing oil plume in the Gulf of Mexico . After all, he had no constitutional power to force them to do so; so had to resort to Chicago-style negotiating. Easy for him. That's one area where he does have experience.

But, let us take a closer look at the effect on BP's finances:

1. BP will establish a $20 billion fund, but will pay only $7 billion into
it during 2010.

2. BP is a British corporation, but has a very large operating entity in the US but only about 30% of it's income is derived from the US .

3. By Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAP), BP must book the entire $20 billion expense in the year accrued. Therefore, they will book a $20 billion expense in 2010, reducing their US tax liability by $7 billion.

4. Our dear leader also convinced this massive corporation to show their concern for the "small people" by withholding dividends to their shareholders for the last 3 quarters of 2010. This reduces their outward cash flow by about $7.5 billion, including approximately 40% of that amount to US citizens. Assuming that the Bush tax cuts will survive through 2010,
the US Treasury will lose another $450 million in taxes on that amount. We won't even discuss the effect on the US economy. Real smart.

Let us put the results into a table easily understood by the small people (including me):

BP Cash Flow:

o Escrow funding ($7 billion)

o Dividend saving $7.5 billion

o Tax savings $7 billion

o Net favorable cash flow : $7.5 billion

US Treasury Tax Receipts:

o BP Corporate income tax .... minus $7.5 billion

o BP Shareholders ..... minus $0.45 billion

o Net unfavorable tax receipts ..... minus $7.95 billion

I guess we really should expect this. After all, our Messiah is the most inexperienced man in ANY room he enters. Bar none.

Now tell me ..Did the enlightened one "Kick Ass", or did he get "Sucker Punched"? We already did the math for you!

This is just one more reason why a 'community organizer" should NOT be negotiating anything dealing with money and finances!

Bottom line: The $20 Billion BP is putting up will create a $7.5 Billion positive cash for BP flow this year. But, Obama actually "thinks" he really did something special and "kicked ass' (in his own words). Again, real smart.

In reality, BP executives are laughing at him and 'kicked his ass". Oh well..what's new with this President anyway??? He is way in over his head when he starts dealing with "business people"

OKAY, NOW TRY AND BLAME THIS ONE ON BUSH! VOTE!

Why I carry a gun. (1 reply)

People ask why I carry a gun:
My old grandpa said to me 'Son, there comes a time in every man's life when he stops bustin' knuckles and starts bustin' caps and usually it's when he becomes too old to take an ass whoopin.'
I don't carry a gun to kill people. I carry a gun to keep from being killed.
I don't carry a gun to scare people. I carry a gun because sometimes this world can be a scary place.
I don't carry a gun because I'm paranoid. I carry a gun because there are real threats in the world.
I don't carry a gun because I'm evil. I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the world.
I don't carry a gun because I hate the government. I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government.
I don't carry a gun because I'm angry. I carry a gun so that I don't have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.
I don't carry a gun because I want to shoot someone. I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed, and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.
I don't carry a gun because I'm a cowboy. I carry a gun because, when I die and go to heaven, I want to be a cowboy.
I don't carry a gun to make me feel like a man. I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.
I don't carry a gun because I feel inadequate. I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.
I don't carry a gun because I love it. I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.
Police protection is an oxymoron. Free citizens must protect themselves.
Police do not protect you from crime, they usually just investigate the crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.
Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take an ass whoopin'.....author unknown (but obviously brilliant)
*************************
A LITTLE GUN HISTORY
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control.
From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
In 1911, Turkey established gun control.
From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Germany established gun control in 1938.
From 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
China established gun control in 1935.
From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated
Guatemala established gun control in 1964.
From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Uganda established gun control in 1970.
From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Cambodia established gun control in 1956.
From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control:
56 million.
You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late!
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.
With guns, we are 'citizens'. Without them, we are 'subjects'.
During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!
If you value your freedom, please spread this anti gun-control message to all of your friends.
The purpose of fighting is to win.
There is no possible victory in defense.
The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either.
The final weapon is the brain.
All else is supplemental.
Switzerland issues every household a gun! Switzerland's government trains every adult they issue a rifle.
Switzerland has the lowest gun related crime rate of any civilized country in the world!!!
It's a no brainer!
Don't let our government waste millions of our tax dollars in an effort to make all law abiding citizens an easy target.
I'm a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment!
If you are too, please forward.

I like this A LOT!!!!! very long..... (6 replies)

The question on the minds of millions of Americans this morning: How many people attended Glenn Beck’s ‘Restoring Honor’ rally yesterday in our nations’ capitol?
The answer to this question has ramifications far beyond mere crowd size. It is one of the few concrete indicators of the popularity and viability of the Tea Party and their message of traditional values, less government and a return to our Founders’ vision of America.
The New York Times described the crowd merely as “enormous and impassioned.” ABC was more specific, estimating the attendance at Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally in the “hundreds of thousands.” AP chimed in at “tens of thousands.”
Whether the attendance was 300,000 or one million, (you decide) the huge crowd gathered to hear conservative commentator Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and other notables, offered a compelling contrast to another rally being held across town held by Al Sharpton.
An estimated 3,000, most of whom were African-Americans, attended a rally/march hosted by Al Sharpton to commemorate the 47th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s famous “I Have A Dream” speech. Sharpton railed against the Tea Party as he informed the crowd that MLK’s dream “has not been achieved.”
The fact that America has elected a black president didn’t seem to faze Sharpton as he trotted out his familiar message of black oppression. Sharpton’s solution? Support Obama’s latest money grab, appealingly entitled a “jobs bill.’ Yawn.
Jesse Jackson, who arbitrarily claimed the sole right to speak for Dr. Martin Luther King, was aghast that Glenn Beck dared to infringe on his territory. Jackson told CNN that Beck was mimicking King and “humiliating the tradition.”
NAACP President Benjamin Todd Jealous followed up, castigating the message of the Glenn Beck rally across town. “For a year and a half, we’ve been subjected to small hearts and small minds on our small screens,” he said, referring to conservative ideas.
Meanwhile, Martin Luther King’s niece, Dr. Alveda King, offered a different message at the Glenn Beck rally. A message of hope and an appeal to honor.
The message of the Restoring Honor rally was more religious than political, with many speakers openly professing their Christian faith, including Beck. Obama’s name wasn’t mentioned once in the 200 minutes of speeches. And the Mall was left spic and span.
Sharpton’s “Reclaim the Dream” rally offered a telling contrast. Both in terms of size and in terms of the message. This contrast is good news for America. A portent that the much abused race card may, finally, be losing its potency. An indication that millions of Americans value character, honor and God over racial politics.
The times, they are a changin’. For years, race hustlers have tried to keep the race card alive. After all, white guilt has proved very lucrative for Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and the segment of the black population that seek to divide Americans by race.
What does it say about Sharpton’s message when one contrasts the 3,000 attendees to the hundreds of thousands of people across town at the Beck rally who were focused on honor as opposed to the color of one’s skin?
This is good news, America. Good news that may signal a death knell for racial and grievance politics and, hopefully, a return to basic American values that are shared by all Americans, regardless of their color.

Who knows, maybe one day soon Al Sharpton may have to go out and get a real job. And maybe one day soon, our elected officials will recognize that America is still a Christian nation. Hope springs eternal.

Nancy Morgan is a columnist and news editor for conservative news site RightBias.com
She lives in South Carolina

A LAWYER WITH A BRIEFCASE CAN STEAL MORE THAN A THOUSAND MEN WITH GUNS (no replies)

A LAWYER WITH A BRIEFCASE CAN STEAL MORE THAN A THOUSAND MEN WITH GUNS.
vito corleone

This is very interesting! I never thought about it this way.
The Lawyers' Party By Bruce Walker *

The Democratic Party has become the Lawyers Party .
Barack Obama is a lawyer. Michelle Obama is a lawyer.
Hillary Clinton is a lawyer. Bill Clinton is a lawyer.
John Edwards is a lawyer. Elizabeth Edwards is a lawyer.
Every Democrat nominee since 1984 went to law school (although Gore did not graduate).
Every Democrat vice presidential nominee since 1976, except for Lloyd Bentsen, went to law school.
Look at leaders of the Democrat Party in Congress:
Harry Reid is a lawyer. Nancy Pelosi is a lawyer.

The Republican Party is different.
President Bush is a businessman.
Vice President Cheney is a businessman.
The leaders of the Republican Revolution:
Newt Gingrich was a history professor.
Tom Delay was an exterminator. Dick Armey was an economist.
House Minority Leader Boehner was a plastic manufacturer.
The former Senate Majority Leader Bill First is a heart surgeon.
Who was the last Republican president who was a lawyer? Gerald Ford, who left office 31 years ago and who barely won the Republican nomination as a sitting president, running against Ronald Reagan in 1976.

The Republican Party is made up of real people doing real work, who are often the targets of lawyers.
The Democrat Party is made up of lawyers. Democrats mock and scorn men who create wealth, like Bush and Cheney, or who heal the sick, like First, or who immerse themselves in history, like Gingrich.

The Lawyers Party sees these sorts of people, who provide goods and services that people want, as the enemies of America . And, so we have seen the procession of official enemies, in the eyes of the Lawyers Party, grow.

Against whom do Hillary and Obama rail? Pharmaceutical companies, oil companies, hospitals, manufacturers, fast food restaurant chains, large retail businesses, bankers, and anyone producing anything of value in our nation.

This is the natural consequence of viewing everything through the eyes of lawyers. Lawyers solve problems by successfully representing their clients, in this case the American people.
Lawyers seek to have new laws passed, they seek to win lawsuits, they press appellate courts to overturn precedent, and lawyers always parse language to favor their side.

Confined to the narrow practice of law, that is fine. But it is an awful
way to govern a great nation. When politicians as lawyers begin to view some Americans as clients and other Americans as opposing parties, then the role of the legal system in our life becomes all-consuming. Some Americans become adverse parties of
our very government. We are not all litigants in some vast social
class-action suit. We are citizens of a republic that promises us a great deal of freedom from laws, from courts, and from lawyers.

Today, we are drowning in laws; we are contorted by judicial decisions; we are driven to distraction by omnipresent lawyers in all parts of our once private lives. America has a place for laws and lawyers, but that place is modest and reasonable, not vast and unchecked. When the most important decision for our next president is whom he will appoint to the Supreme Court, the role of lawyers and the law in America is too big.
**
** When House Democrats sue America in order to hamstring our efforts to learn what our enemies are planning to do to us, then the role of litigation in America has become crushing.

We cannot expect the Lawyers Party to provide real change, real reform or real hope in America Most Americans know that a republic in which every major government action must be blessed by nine unelected judges is not what Washington intended in 1789. Most Americans grasp that we cannot fight a war when ACLU lawsuits snap at the heels of our defenders. Most Americans intuit that more lawyers and judges will not restore declining moral values or spark the spirit of enterprise in our economy.

Perhaps Americans will understand that change cannot be brought to our nation by those lawyers who already largely dictate American society and business. Perhaps Americans will see that hope does not come from the mouths of lawyers but from personal dreams nourished by hard work. Perhaps Americans will embrace the truth that more lawyers with more power will only make our problems worse.

The United States has 5% of the worlds population and 66% of the worlds lawyers! Tort (Legal) reform legislation has been introduced in congress several times in the last several years to limit punitive damages in ridiculous lawsuits such as spilling hot coffee on yourself and suing the establishment that sold it to you and also to limit punitive damages in huge medical malpractice lawsuits. This legislation has continually been blocked from even being voted on by the Democrat Party. When you see that 97% of the political contributions from the American Trial Lawyers Association goes to the Democrat Party, then you realize who is responsible for our medical and product costs being so high!

I'll be there with bells on. I know it may be an unneeded expense. I know it may be a bit of your time. I know you'd rather watch a game.......or have a bar-b-q......or go fishing.......but standing up for our country takes presidence here. WHERE would we be if the founding fathers had said...screw it.................I'm going fishing today instead of working on our nations future. God only knows.
In my humble opinion......the single biggest problem with our country today is the unwillingness of most of the population to make ANY sacrifices at all. They all think with their pocketbooks....and to hell with whats good for the country overall. Thats how the psuedo-president got elected in the first place. I'll HATE the traffic. I'll hate the expense..........but I'll love being a part of something MUCH bigger than I am. It time for us to take a stand folks. they have preverted things so bad.......that right is wrong now................and wrong is right. God isnt welcome anywhere. We have to make a BIG stand...........and try to return this country to its former glory. If we sit back and hope it will go away.................you'll wake up one day ............scratch your head.......and wonder where it all went....and how you lost your freedoms. It will be because YOU sat on your ass and did nothing. What is that old saying? " All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing?"
Get OFF your collective asses........and join us all at the steps of the Lincoln memorial on the 28th. We need to put the fear of GOD in them............and the more that show up..the better.
Streak!

Some scary but IMPORTANT Information (1 reply)

Interesting and Scary read. Remember, they are now going to build a Mosque near ground zero!!!

Here is a perspective by Dr. Peter Hammond. Dr. Hammonds doctorate is in
Theology. He was born in Capetown in 1960, grew up in Rhodesia and converted
to Christianity in 1977. In addition to his academic work, he is a
Missionary.

I hope you find this informative,

Adapted from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam:
The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat

Islam is not a religion, nor is it a cult. In its fullest form, it is a
complete, total, 100% system of life.

Islam has religious, legal, political, economic, social, and military
components. The religious component is a beard for all of the other
components.

Islamization begins when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to
agitate for their religious privileges.

When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies agree
to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other
components tend to creep in as well..

Here's how it works:

As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given
country, they will be for the most part be regarded as a peace-loving
minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. This is the case in:

United States -- Muslim 0..6%
Australia -- Muslim 1.5%
Canada -- Muslim 1.9%
China -- Muslim 1.8%
Italy -- Muslim 1.5%
Norway -- Muslim 1.8%

At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and
disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among
street gangs.
This is happening in:

Denmark -- Muslim 2%
Germany -- Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom -- Muslim 2.7%
Spain -- Muslim 4%
Thailand -- Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their
percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the
introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing
food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on
supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves -- along with threats
for failure to comply. This is occurring in:

France -- Muslim 8%
Philippines -- 5%
Sweden -- Muslim 5%
Switzerland -- Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands -- Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago -- Muslim 5.8%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to
rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The
ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase
lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris , we
are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and
results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam , with opposition to
Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily,
particularly in Muslim sections, in:
Guyana -- Muslim 10%
India -- Muslim 13.4%
Israel -- Muslim 16%
Kenya -- Muslim 10%
Russia -- Muslim 15%

After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia
formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and
Jewish synagogues, such as in:

Ethiopia -- Muslim 32.8%

At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and
ongoing militia warfare, such as in:

Bosnia -- Muslim 40%
Chad -- Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon -- Muslim 59.7%

From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers of all
other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic
cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and Jizya, the tax
placed on infidels, such as in:

Albania -- Muslim 70%
Malaysia -- Muslim 60.4%
Qatar -- Muslim 77.5%
Sudan -- Muslim 70%

After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run
ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these nations drive out the
infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been experienced and in
some ways is on-going in:

Bangladesh -- Muslim 83%
Egypt -- Muslim 90%
Gaza -- Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia -- Muslim 86.1%
Iran -- Muslim 98%
Iraq -- Muslim 97%
Jordan -- Muslim 92%
Morocco -- Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan -- Muslim 97%
Palestine -- Muslim 99%
Syria -- Muslim 90%
Tajikistan -- Muslim 90%
Turkey -- Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates -- Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of 'Dar-es-Salaam' -- the Islamic House of
Peace.. Here there's supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim,
the Madrasses are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such as
in:

Afghanistan -- Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia -- Muslim 100%
Somalia -- Muslim 100%
Yemen -- Muslim 100%

Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most
radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by
killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons.

'Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me
against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against
my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; the tribe against the
world, and all of us against the infidel. -- Leon Uris, 'The Haj'

It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under 100%
Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim populations live in
ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they live by
Sharia Law. The national police do not even enter these ghettos. There are
no national courts, nor schools, nor non-Muslim religious facilities. In
such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. The
children attend madrasses. They learn only the Koran. To even associate with
an infidel is a crime punishable with death. Therefore, in some areas of
certain nations, Muslim Imams and extremists exercise more power than the
national average would indicate.

Today's 1.5 billion Muslims make up 22% of the world's population. But their
birth rates dwarf the birth rates of Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews,
and all other believers. Muslims will exceed 50% of the world's population
by the end of this century.

Adapted from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The
Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat

Obama Appoints two devout Muslims to homeland security posts.

Obama and Janet Napolitano Appoint Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim as
Assistant Secretary for Policy Development

DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore-in Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim, who
was born in Damascus, Syria as ADC National Executive Director as a member
of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).

NOTE: Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified as a
devout Catholic, a devout Jew or a devout Protestant...? Just wondering.

Was it not "Devout Muslim men" that flew planes into U.S. buildings 8 years
ago? Was it not a Devout Muslim who killed 13 at Fort Hood ?

Quite an eye opener.....

Please forward this important information to any who care about the future of our Country.

So the tactic here should be ELIMINATE or be ELIMIMATED . . I don’t see any other solution . . .

I guess us VietNam Vets did a little bit of good! (2 replies)

Speech by a Vietnamese Immigrant
(This was a speech given last week in Prescott Valley, Arizona -- by Quang Nguyen, a Vietnam born, naturalized U.S. citizen. This speech was videotaped and is available on YouTube.)

"This Saturday, the 24th, at 6:30 pm, the town of Prescott Valley, AZ will be hosting a Freedom Rally. I was asked to speak for 10 minutes on my experience of coming to America and what it means.
I wrote this in dedication to all Vietnam Veterans and I feel that it is important for me to share it with you prior to the Saturday event. Here it is and God Bless you my friend.
35 years ago, if you were to tell me that I am going to stand up here speaking to a couple thousand patriots, in English, I'd laugh at you. Man, every morning I wake up thanking God for putting me and my family in the greatest country on earth.I just want you all to know that the American dream does exist and I am living the American dream.

I was asked to speak to you about my experience as a first generation Vietnamese American, but I rather speak to you as an American. If you hadn't noticed, I am not white and I feel pretty comfortable with my people.I am a proud US citizen and here is my proof. It took me 8 years to get it, waiting in endless lines, but I got it and I am very proud of it. Guess what, I did it legally and it ain't from the state of Hawaii.I still remember the images of the Tet offensive in 1968, I was six years old. Now you might want to question how a 6-year-old boy could remember anything. Trust me, those images can never be erased. I can't even imagine what it was like for young American soldiers, 10,000 miles away from home, fighting on my behalf.

Thirty-five years ago, I left south Vietnam for political asylum. The war had ended. At the age of 13, I left with the understanding that I may or may not ever get to see my siblings or parents again. I was one of the first lucky 100,000 Vietnamese allowed to come to the US. Somehow, my family and I were reunited 5 months later, amazingly, in California. It was a miracle from God. If you haven't heard lately that this is the greatest country on earth, I am telling you that right now. It is the freedom and the opportunities presented it to me that put me here with all of you tonight. I also remember the barriers that I had to overcome every step of the way. My high school counselor told me that I cannot make it to college due to my poor communication skills. I proved him wrong. I finished college. You see. All you have to do is to give this little boy an opportunity and encourage him to take and run with it. Well, I took the opportunity and here I am. This person standing tonight in front of you could not exist under a socialist/communist environment. By the way, if you think socialism is the way to go, I am sure many people here will chip in to get you a one way ticket out of here. And if you didn't know, the only difference between socialism and communism is an AK-47 aiming at your head. That was my experience.

In 1982, I stood with a thousand new immigrants, reciting the pledge of allegiance and listening to the National Anthem for the first time as an American. To this day, I can't remember anything sweeter and more patriotic than that moment in my life.Fast forwarding, somehow I finished high school, finished college, and like any other goofball 21 year old kid, I was having a great time with my life, I had a nice job and a nice apartment in Southern California. In someway and somehow, I had forgotten how I got here and why I am here. One day I was at a gas station, I saw a veteran pumping gas on the other side of the island. I don't know what made me do it, but I walked over and asked if he had served in Vietnam. He smiled and said, "Yes". I shook and held his hand. The grown man began to well up. I walked away as fast as I could and at that very moment, I was emotionally rocked. This was a profound moment in life. I knew something had to change in my life. It was time for me to learn how to be a good citizen. It was time for me to give back..

You see. America is not place on the map, it isn't a physical location. It is an ideal, a concept. And if you are an American, you must understand the concept, you must buy into this concept and most importantly, you have to fight and defend this concept. This is about Freedom. and not free stuff. And that is why I am standing up here. Brothers and sisters, to be a real American, the very least you must do is to learn English and understand it well. In my humble opinion, you cannot be a faithful patriotic citizen if you can't speak the language of the country you live in. Take this document of 46 pages. Last I looked on the internet, there wasn't a Vietnamese translation of the US constitution. It took me a long time to get to the point of being able to converse and until this day, I still struggle to come up with the right words. It's not easy, but if it's too easy, it's not worth doing. Before I know this 46-page document, I learned of the 500,000 Americans who fought for this little boy. I learned of the 58,000 names scribed on the black wall at the Vietnam memorial. You are my heroes. You are my founders. At this time, I would like to ask all the Vietnam veterans to please stand....I thank you for my life. I thank you for your sacrifices, and I thank you for giving me the freedom and liberty I have today. I now ask all veterans, firefighters, and police officers, to please stand....On behalf of all first generation immigrants, I thank you for your services and may God bless you all."

Quang Nguyen
Creative Director/FounderCaddis Advertising

Friends of liberty. It’s up to us to make sure these ideas are permanently retired.

Now our legislators are coming home for their August recess, and we’ve got a prime opportunity to let them know the pressure is only going to get more intense from here on out.

Click on the image below to see a constituent stand up for liberty and put Representative Pete Stark on the record as saying the Federal Government “can do most anything” it wants.

The freedom movement has accomplished amazing things over the last couple of years, but we still have our work cut out for us.

If there’s one thing you can be sure of, it’s that both House and Senate leadership will not rest until they have crammed DISCLOSE, Big Labor’s agenda, Cap and Tax, and more down our throats.

Matter of fact, Pelosi is already calling the House back briefly during the August recess to approve additional billions in bailouts and so-called “stimulus” spending – more of the leadership’s “when there’s a problem, throw money at it” strategy.

While your representatives and senators are home, be sure to visit their townhalls, write letters to the editor, call in to local talk shows, and even stop by their district offices to let them know how you feel about the direction they’re taking this country.

If you’re not yet involved in your local C4L, click here to find out what’s going on in your state.

Our activity has already made a difference, but we must not back down until the battle for the Republic is won.

Together, we can make that dream a reality.

In Liberty,

John Tate

A little more info regarding my recent DOUBLE TIRE BLOWOUT.... (1 reply)

Hey Brian thanks for the reply but here's the kicker.....I spoke with a factory Rep yesterday from KENDA who tried to tell me the same thing and that due to the fact that the RV sits for long periods during the winter its likely that a "flat spot" developed on the tires.....Only one BIG problem with that theory....As Jason knows...just this past June I drove ALL THE WAY TO VIRGINIA on those tires and THAT was the first trip of the year.....Surely after passing through Mass, Rhode Island, Conn, New York, New Jersey, Del, MD and into Virginia and then all the way back....if their was an alleged "flat spot" they would surely have blown then. Hey Streak....Thanks for the further info on KENDA tires other applications....in speaking with that Rep yesterday he also asked me to describe the "exact" numbers on the tires.....When I told him they were LT 235 85R 16's he said...."Well for one thing those are not Trailer tires....Lt stands for Light truck....He said they should be ST's for Specialty Trailer.....Well guess what...those tires came with the RV when I bought it new......so "somebody" put the wrong tires on the rig in the beginning according to him....
I went on "GOOGLE" last night and put in "Kenda Tire blowout" and WAS AMAZED at all the info I found out....Apparently this is a NATIONWIDE problem and they Freakin knew about it.....!!! There was a fatal accident in your state (Pennsylvania) in 2007 that caused a major importer of these tires to request a recall....Then I read about other folks all around the Country (some of whom amazingly also lost two tires on one trip) And they named the same guy at KENDA that I spoke to and got the same BS story that according to him ALL camper tires should be replaced EVERY four years regardless of use or condition.....One guy took that info to his tire dealership and they told him that was a bunch of crap........Sorry to go on and on but you can see Im pretty worked up over this and everyone ( The RV dealership, the maker of the RV, the tire manufacturer) all seem to want to pass the blame to someone else......I am not looking for a monetary settlement or anything like that....I will fix the damage to my camper fender myself and buff out the black marks where the tire smacked the side of the RV as it came apart....But is it too much to ask for safe tires to replace these pieces of crap that they apparently knew about all along ???
