The next day Deb and I wanted to see the beach at Biloxi and do a little sight seeing. We saw the visitors center, the light house, hit the mall for a quick visit, then headed back and showered and cleaned up for the IP at about 4pm. We met Ed again at the tables and met Mike. He was a great guy, funny, and we all laughed and traded high 5's if someone should hit a good hand. Elson came up but wasn't much interested in playing UNTIL he hit the 3 aces and made em pay !! Suddenly he was a fan and said he was going to write a book on how to win at 3 card poker cause it was easy !! We were doing it all wrong !! Mike paid for our dinners at the buffet and we got to talk a little bit and he's a really good guy. The food was excellent. After dinner we went back to the tables for some more laughs until it was time to say goodbye.

We had a lot of fun, left a few dollars to stimulate the economy but made a lot of memories. Can't wait to do it again, next time with Craig or who ever else would like to meet up with us.

We were starting to miss Bubba, then met an almost nicer guy at the 3 card poker table named Mike. Mike was wearing a Univ of Alabama hat, was lots of laughs, AND BOUGHT ALL OF US THE BUFFET DINNER. Elson and I don't want to crack on old Bubba ..... however, we don't remember Bubba buying us the buffet dinner last trip to the IP. We told Mike about Bubba being an AU fan and that he spent 7 + years there getting his education .... Mike said, hummm, bet he is like almost a doctor.

One of the highlights of the trip was Elson sitting down next to me at the 3 card poker table saying he really didn't like this game but would try just one more time .... he won a few small hands then got 3 ACE's that paid him 30 to 1. You sould have seen his face. Needless to say, old Elson brought home more donkeys than he came with. Curtis & Leroy saw an ad in the Starkville Daily in Starkville, MS. and bought a mule for $100.



The farmer agreed to deliver the mule the next day.



The next morning the farmer drove up and said,"Sorry, fellows, I have some bad news, the mule died last night."




Curtis & Leroy replied,"Well, then just give us our money back.."




The farmer said,"Can't do that. I went and spent it already."




They said, "OK then, just bring us the dead mule."




The farmer asked, "What in the world ya'll gonna do with a dead mule?"



Curtis said, "We gonna raffle him off."




The farmer said, "You can't raffle off a dead mule!"




Leroy said, "We shore can! Heck, we don't hafta tell nobody he's dead!"




A couple of weeks later, the farmer ran into Curtis & Leroy at the Piggly Wiggly grocery store and asked.




"What'd you fellers ever do with that dead mule?"



They said,"We raffled him off like we said we wuz gonna do."



Leroy said,"Shucks, we sold 500 tickets fer two dollars apiece and made a profit of $998."

The farmer said,"My Lord, didn't anyone complain?"

Curtis said, "Well, the feller who won got upset. So we gave him his two dollars back."


Curtis and Leroy now work for the government.
