Places to dectect

OK so I've no idea where else to detect. I tried a school in East Nash this weekend with TONs of clad. And a park there that supposedly USED to have lots of old coins. But now I'm out of options. I visited the "earthworks" site near Hillboro Pike but it's posted as a National/City Park. Is the way to detect now to look at Civil War maps and just knock on people's doors? Just wondering. I'm a newbie. I thought about Shelby Park since there are no signs posted not to detect there. Any help?

Though many police passed by while I was there and didn't seem to mind. It seems that there are very limited places to detect in Nashville.
