Please read the following, our hobby is being seriously threatened. We just received this information concerning a meeting planned by the Georgia Council of Professional Archaeologists to discuss “guidelines for metal detecting,” It is very important for detectorists to attend and make themselves heard in defense of our hobby!

"Spring Meeting Date Announced! Mark your calendar for May 18th, when the GCPA (Georgia Council of Professional Archaeologists) general membership will meet. Topics of discussion will include proposed changes to the GCPA constitution and by-laws as well as the main topic of the day -- metal detection (and the possible establishment of state guidelines). I'm sure that many of you know Keith of Bonnie Blue Detectors and thought I'd pass on some information that I just read on the Relic Hunter Magazine Group page on Facebook.

Keith's mother passed away last night.
I don't know any of the arrangements but if I hear of any I'll keep you informed.
