I inherited an Whites Blue &amp; Gray from my grandfather. It's an awesome machine; I remember seeing him digging up whole shells, belt plates, buttons with it around Perryville, KY.<br />Any advice on setting as in GEB etc? I currently have the White's MXT PRO and TDI and hear they both will work there under certain conditions. I have been reading about the Tesoro Sand Shark and it sounds like a good machine. It also is a PI machine and waterproof so I also was wondering how it will work in Culpeper hot soil as a back up to my TDI. (Maybe when raining out). So for those of you that have used either and especially if you have used both, is there a big enough difference in the performance of the 2 to make it worth my while to try to get one of these specifically over the other. I know the specs on both machines, and yes I know the infinium is waterproof, but is there a marked difference in the depth or ID abilities of these 2 detectors? Thanks, oh and I would be using this in highly mineralized soil, similar to Culpeper VA. Thanks in advance.]]></description>

Yesterday I was out in Culpeper using the Fisher F75 and got into a lot of hot rocks with constant pinging. There was one rock that was on top of the ground so I grabbed it and did a little experiment. I got out my AT Gold and swung over the rock in all metal. PING!! So I switched to Disc 1 with Iron Discrimination at 30 on the AT Gold and bang no PINGING. I could not believe it. So I continued to hunt with the AT Gold and actually did pretty well in the Hot Rocks. I'm not saying the F75 is bad because I love the machine and have done very well with it in Culpeper but in this case the AT Gold cut thru the Hot Rock. Also the Iron Discrimination and Iron Audio is pretty good also. I picked out a bullet at about 6" that was masked by barbed wire,]]></description>
