1. The upgrade process is very easy. You will need to update all three items: DEUS headset (s), DEUS coil (s) and DEUS remote from version 2 to version 3. Just have these items at hand and click on the following link from your PC:

Now back into it again. Purchased a MXT last year and like it for what it does. However, I have thought about the TDI, pulse machine for better penetration.

I did like the freedom to set my unit down and away from the digging action.

But I missed those barely audible targets, so back to a headset I go.

Seems like it should be fairly simple but before I jump into putting one together I would like the benefit of your experience.

So for those of you that have used either and especially if you have used both, is there a big enough difference in the performance of the 2 to make it worth my while to try to get one of these specifically over the other. I know the specs on both machines, and yes I know the infinium is waterproof, but is there a marked difference in the depth or ID abilities of these 2 detectors? Thanks, oh and I would be using this in highly mineralized soil, similar to Culpeper VA. He ran the Gold on full sensitivity so there was some light falsing but he likes running machines on the edge.
