I decided to take a few guys to an old spot of mine this week to see if it was still producing relics and here is what we found. That's our Club President, Jimmy Lea, holding the first plate he has ever dug. A nice War of 1812 Militia Plate. Good work Jimmy!

We also dug a few other relics: Jeff Harrison, our secretary, dug a neat epaulette and a War of 1812 Corps of Artillerists button. I dug an 1812 1st Regiment of Artillery button, Ed Lorio, our Vice President, dug a huge mortar frag, an "L" base marked enfield with the wooden plug still in it and a dropped minie.

All in all it was good, if very wet and muddy, hunt.
