Greetings Ed! Good to have you here. Welcome to the forum! (n/t)

Greetings from the United Kingdom
April 13, 2012 03:14PM
Hi everyone,
as I'm new here just thought I might introduce myself:

I am from the United Kingdom and my name is Edgar, but
feel free to call me Ed, or Eddy, as my friends usually do.

Hooked on Metal Detecting and learning about the past,
particularly the Celts, but do enjoy history in general.

looking forward to seeing you all around the boards...

Happy Hunting
Eddy

Eddy funny you should post the tools you use. I have a good friend Tom Woodacer and I call him the Black Ader. I met him at an open hunt and he was going to use it in the hunt. I gave him a knife and turned him lose. I may just have to call you The Black Ader LOL. Glad to meet you.

thanks for the welcome Gary smile

I'm afraid there is only one man who can have the "Black Ader" title here
in the UK, and that's Archie Cole, the founder of Black ADA Limited...

Greeting to Virginia!

I've been detecting for a good three years now and my favourite find is
a special Hammy. Not so much because it's old (which, by our british
standards, it isn't really) but because I think it's quite rare...

The Latin text translates to: New coin of the Imperial City of Zurich 1623

According to my research, it is a Swiss coin which in its time apparently
had about the same buying power as one of our 1£ coins has today...
