One heck of a site you put us on John! Thanks to you & Rose and the entire DIV Committee for all of your hard work! Also thanks to Kellyco for providing the much-needed water for such a hot dig! What a great showing of rare and unusual relics at this hunt...it was great to be a part of it.
In the early morning fog of day 1, my brother and I were hiking to the far end of the farm (with our machines off). Along the way we came to this very cool scene so I stopped to take some pics. Little did we know that later in the day (and for the rest of the hunt) that little hill would be producing some awesome finds for lots of diggers, including us.
The majority of my finds came from that hill or very close by that hill. My favorites are the Eagle R greatcoat button and the Anchovy Paste bottle which came out of a small trash pit.
